📝 Job Description
Sergeants will assist SDEO, EO, and IO officers in enforcing scheduled laws by providing operational readiness, logistical support, and deterrence through field squads. The role involves inspections, seizures, evidence handling, mobility operations, and enforcement assistance under prescribed laws and procedures.
🛡️ Job Responsibilities
- Assist officers in enforcement of scheduled laws
- Exercise powers as prescribed under the Act and Rules
- Carry and use weapons/gadgets as per regulations
- Assist in arrest, recovery of fines, and reasonable use of force
- Operate in mobile squads within assigned jurisdiction
- Assist in inspection, search, sealing of public and private properties (with warrant where applicable)
- Support collection and preservation of electronic evidence
- Assist in seizure and confiscation of goods, vehicles, and properties
- Guard confiscated stock and maintain proper records
- Maintain safe custody of issued weapons and gadgets
- Ride motorcycles and drive vehicles when required
- Perform duties under the Buddy System
- Perform any other task assigned by the Authority
